Pros and cons of English to French (France) app for iPhone and iPad

English to French (France) app good for

Im going to France next week and this is exactly what I need. the sound is clear and easy to understand. :) buy it if u wanna learn French !!!!!
the person speaking makes all the diiference. basic French to get u around. if there was a way to search for a word in French or English that is in the app that would be a great enhacement. well worth the price. thanks!
Its nice to learn basic conversation and learn the pronunciations includes the numbers and alphabets. Hopefully, would like to choose more combinations flexibly, because some combinations are virtually fixed. It may have memory leaks, I encountered some sudden shutdown of the application. Anyway, Im expecting to a Russian version and a German version.
There are so many words and its so easy to use! I love this and it will help anyone learn French. I take French but can barely speak it. Well worth the money!!!
I first bought the Spanish Pro Translator and loved it. It had a well organized and stocked library of phrases that could get you through many conversations. But the language I have wanted to have handier was French and the Oxford French Pro does not disappoint in the least. As with the Spanish, it has main categories and sub-categories that break down what you are looking for in a very concise, manageable way. That way, you arent scrolling for what you want for very long. You can find what you need pretty quickly. Secondly, it has very clear, native speakers who pronounce the words in such a way that you can actually hear them. Im all for learning dialect, but if I cant hear the word clearly enough to even know what it is I feel as if Im missing something. So Oxford totally got it right. I think thats especially important for French. As with the Spanish Pro, you can form your own combination of words to create the sentence you want which makes a big difference over any other translators. Ive bought them all and this one is the best, hands down. Highly recommended! Additional note: for the person who paid $9.99, to give this a one-star rating doesnt accurately reflect the quality of the product. I also paid $9.99 and its the best value Ive found even at that price. I think if you contact the developer youll find they are very customer-oriented. I did and they responded extremely well. For the record, Im not a relative or friend, just a fan of a quality app. This thing is easily worth the price, whatever you paid. Just my two cents...
Man, that stinks that u people had to pay 9.99 for this because it isnt worth that. That is why I bought it now when it is on sale for only 1.99

Some bad moments

Great phrases, good layout. But I dont have sound. That was the whole purpose of me buying this app.
App would be great but there is no sound, need to fix this bug
This is not worth my $$. Not as helpful as I needed. Now I have to spend 3x for a better app
This application is not a translator. It is more of a phrasebook, that must be really handy for tourists, but serves no clear purpose for French language learners. Very much regret downloading this application.
This is very helpful for building simple, useful phrases, but I am disappointed that it does not translate for you. Theres no way to enter in something you need to specifically need translated which is disappointing to me. I was mislead by the name of the application so I figured others may be too. The explanation they give of the phrase building is accurate.
This app was pretty good before the update. Im about to travel to France and thought it would be a good idea to invest in something that could help me get around. Then I updated the app. I noticed it took FOREVER to update via WiFi. And then, when I connected my phone to my Macbook and clicked sync, it just refused to transfer the update from my phone to my computer. Please fix.
